Hello! I am so excited to be teaching this class at The Abbey! A few things about me is that I am a current student at Virginia Tech studying Neuroscience & Psychology.

I am a native of Rappahannock and am blessed to say I have lived here my whole life. My yoga journey began in 2010 when I attended my first class with my mom and sister just for fun. While I did not fully understand what yoga was during that time, I always kept coming back to different aspect of yoga whether it was meditation before a big event, moving my body for recovery from sports or to simply progress my lifestyle. I decided to complete my 200-YTT for personal knowledge and to share my appreciation of yoga with others.

My favorite asana is Tadasna because of the connection between the earth and my feet. I believe yoga can be a holistic healing for every individual because it allows for the student to be met where they exist and adapted to their needs. I aim for my classes to follow this guideline of meeting the student where they are right now in their journey as we explore yoga through the connection of asana and pranayama. I can’t wait to see new and old friends when we join Sunday’s at 9 a.m. to deepen our knowledge, appreciation and practice together! See you on the mat!
